HMAS Sydney Fires an ESSM for the First Time
HMAS Sydney fires an Evolved Sea Sparrow Missile for the first time during Combat System Sea Qualification Trials in the Southern Californian Exercise Area off the coast of the United States.In early April 2021 HMAS Sydney-42 AWD has deployed to San Diego to conduct combat system sea qualifications trials on its Aegis weapons system with the US Navy.
